Nigeria: Why I Demolished Ahmadu Ali's House - El-Rufai

Former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (MFCT), Mallam Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai has given a first-hand account of his 'wars' with some high profile Nigerians in the ministry's bid to restore the Abuja Master plan.

During his four-year tenure as the FCT minister, El-Rufai had demolished parts of the residence of the then national chairman of the ruling Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP), Dr.Amadu Ali and revoked plots of land believed to have been allocated to a senior members of party and the proprietor of Bolingo Hotels and Towers, Abuja, Chief J.U. Igweh (now deceased) and many others in the high-brow Asokoro and Maitama districts of the FCT.
