Tanzania: Albino Boy Attacked and Loses Arm

Sumbawanga — THREE unidentified young men attacked and chopped off a minor's left hand and then disappeared with it into the bush.

The minor, Mwigulu Matomange Magessa aged seven years old, lives with albinism. According to the Milepa Ward Councillor , Mr Apolinary Macheta, the gruesome incident occurred on Friday at 5:00 pm, when Mwingulu, a Standard One pupil at Msia Primary School in Sumbawanga District, was in the company of other school children on their way home from school.

He was attacked in the presence of his schoolmates by three unidentified assailants.
