Egypt: PM Qandeel Regrets Misquoted Remarks On Beni Sweif's People

Prime Minister Hisham Qandil said Friday that he feels sorry for misquoting his comments on Beni Sweif's inhabitants during his recent meeting with Egyptian TV media on development problems in Egypt.

Qandil asserted that his remarks have been misunderstood. He said his comments were meant to drawing attention to poor places that need more care in the country.

The premier's televised-comments suggested that Egyptian infants contract diarrhea from nursing at their mothers' unclean breasts drew widespread anger.
