Armed Forces Chief of Staff, Lt. General Sidqi Sobhi confirmed during the International Defense Conference (IDEX 2013) in Abu Dhabi on 17/2/2013 that the Egyptian Army will remain Egypt 's strong shield that maintains its unity and national security.
As for the stance of the Army regarding the current situation in Egypt, he asserted that what is taking place now in Egypt is normal after every revolution.
