Egypt: PM - Egypt Keen On Boosting Relations With Other African Countries

Prime Minister Hisham Qandil confirmed Egypt's keenness on boosting relations with other African countries.

Qandil added, during a meeting with representatives of the Egyptian community in Chad on Saturday 16/2/2013 at the Egyptian Embassy, that Egypt is keen on participating in African gatherings after years of absence. Qandil tackled the latest developments in Egypt.

Qandil hailed the role played by Al-Azhar and the Egyptian Fund for Technical Cooperation with Africa in boosting Egyptian-Chadian relations which serve the Egyptian interests in the African country.

In a press statement on the sidelines of his participation in the Extraordinary Summit of Sahel-Sahara countries in Chad, PM confirmed the need to address the challenges facing the Sahel-Sahara region in an integrated framework that deals with political, humanitarian and development problems, stressing the importance of cooperation and solidarity among Sahel-Sahara countries in order to eliminate the causes of tension and conflict and achieve peace and stability.
