Gambia: On the Unconfirmed Withdrawal of Ex - Justice Wowo's Case

Foroyaa was informed by an unofficial source that questioned why the Gambian media especially the state TV has not reported on the alleged decision of the state to file 'Nolle Prosequi' to discontinue the case of the former President of the Gambia High Court and discharged him.

When the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Hadi Saleh Barkum was contacted to confirm the filing of a 'Nolle Prosequi', she referred this reporter to the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Lamin Joborteh to confirm the story but the Secretary to the Minister informs the reporter that the Attorney General was at a meeting.

This reporter will continue the investigation.
