Nigeria: Asiodu, Ward X-Ray World Energy Impact On Nigeria

Lagos — Managing Director of ExxonMobil, Mr. Mark R. Ward and Chief Phillip C. Asiodu, former Secretary for Petroleum & Minerals Resources will be assessing the impacts of the world energy on the nation's economy at this year's Aret Adams Memorial lecture series.

year's lecture is "World Energy Outlook and Its Potential Impact on the Nigeria's Petroleum Industry .

He said the Foundation was launched in honour of the late Aret Adams, the first Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation from 1988 to 1990, adding that Aret Adams made outstanding contributions toward the growth of Nigeria's oil and gas industry and the nation's economy in general.

The Foundation, Mr. Jokojeje said is aimed at promoting and building educational capacity and policy formulations. He disclosed that the National Energy policy delivered to the Federal government in April 1980 was formulated by the late Aret Adams and that it was him that re-energized negotiations that led to the successful execution of shareholders agreements for the execution of the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) project in 1989.
