Minister of Information, Mr. Labaran Maku has described the Nigeria as the fastest growing economy in the African continent.
Maku stated this on Friday when he led members of the national good governance tour team on a visit to the Onne Ports complex in Rivers State.
He said; "Nigeria is the fastest growing economy in the continent today. By what experts are saying, Nigeria will be the best economy in Africa in 2025. Nigeria is moving forward."
Conducting the minister and his team round the port complex, permanent secretary, Federal Ministry of Transport, Mr. Nebolisa Emodi said phase four of the complex would completed in August 2013.
Emodi stated that the phase, being executed under a private partnership programme (PPP) at the cost of 370 million dollars, have a total of 11 projects.
He further stated that the phase four, which covers a vast 90 hectares of land, when completed, will have an independent power project that will generate a minimum of 104 megawatts of electricity.
