Namibia: Professionals Discuss Fraud Risks of Mobile Devices

Windhoek — The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) Namibian Regional Committee met last week for the first time this year to discuss the fundamentals of mobile device forensic concepts. The discussion, the first of four workshops planned for 2013, covered different concepts of forensic techniques for mobile devices as well as fraud on the mobile platforms.

Renowned mobile device forensic expert and certified fraud examiner Peter Fryer presented the workshop that was attended by 40 professionals from governmental and non-governmental organisations. "It is clear that the ACFE Namibian Regional Committee is on the right track and is gearing professionals in their fight against the ever increasing risk of white collar crimes, corporate fraud and cyber forensics," commented the chairman of the ACFE Namibian Regional Committee, Gerrit Jordaan.
