Kiambu senator candidate George Nyanja has asked the youth to shun politicians who buy them alcohol during the campaigns. Nyanja yesterday said many young people have become alcoholics because of politicians who entice them with alcohol.
"Some aspirants dish out money to the youth to buy alcohol. Our young people are being ruined yet the provincial administration is doing nothing," he said.
Speaking at the Kangangi market in Kiambu during a political rally, Nyanja promised to rid the county of the alcohol abuse if he is elected. He said he will put in place policies of stiffer penalties to those caught selling illicit brews. Nyanja is vying for the seat on a Narc party.
