South Africa: Saps in Bishop Lavis Clamp Down On Drug Dealers and Gangsters

The Bishop Lavis SAPS are not going to take nonsense from drug and gang leaders anymore, and therefore we starting to name the game on its name, this is the first time the police are publicly naming and shaming merchants.

The police started last Friday, together with the neighborhood watch and marched to drug houses run by two men known as "Groot Simon" and "Klein Simon" to carry out a surprise raid. These men(an uncle and nephew are relatives of notorious gang figure Colin Stanfield, one of the founding members of The Firm, an alliance of various Cape gangs).

Colin died in October 2004 but his relatives are continuing with his criminal activities. The Standfields operate out of homes in Stallion, Louise, Hester, Eleanor, Paulus, Lydia, Joyce, Angela and Frank street and also Reo Hotel in Elsiesrivier. But there are more addresses known by the SAPS.

Neighbourwood watch members and police officers march through the streets of Valhalla Park. Attached is the flyer that was distributed, the community is under the illusion that the gangs are looking after them. The community needs to support the police with information to help us fight this situation.

Anyone with info can call 0825221716.The Bishop Lavis Cluster Task Team also doing raids on these addresses and the other addresses on a daily basis. The past 2 weeks good arrests were made. 6 arrests were made for possession of firearms and ammunitions, 8 males and 1 female.
