Rwanda: Sunrise?s Fine Form Continues in Second Div

Rwamagana-based Sunrise Football club continued their fine form in the second division league with a 2-1 home win over Gasabo FC on Sunday.

Abdul Mbarushimana's team led Group A with 29 points, while Gasabo dropped to sixth position with 13 points after 12 matches played so far. Gicumbi FC is second with 26 points, while Rwamagana City is at the bottom with 7 points.

In other Group A games, Sec Academy humiliated Rwamagana City 5-0, Sorwathe secured a narrow 1-0 home win against National University of Rwanda.

In Group B, leaders Bugesera FC beat Etoile De L'est 1-0, Interforce lost at home to Esperance 1-3, Vision saw off Intare 2-1, however, the biggest win of the weekend, United Stars hammered Akagera 8-1. Bugesera leads the group with 29 points followed by Esperance with 24 points, Akagera is at the bottom with 6 points.
