Unidentified gunmen killed a traditional elder in the El Ali Mire area, about 15 kilometres from Dhusamareb, Monday morning (February 18th), UN-funded Radio Bar-Kulan reported.
The gunmen shot Abdullahi Odowa Barkhad and immediately escaped from the scene.
No arrests have yet been made. Police are investigating the incident and have promised to bring the killers to justice, said area security chief Farhad Moalim Ali. No group has also claimed responsibility for the attack.
