Tanzania: Precision Air Has New Boss

Dar es Salaam — Precision Air (PW), one of the fast-growing airlines in the region has finally announced its new chief executive officer following the voluntarily retirement of Ms. Alphonce Kioko, who served the carrier for 10-years.

Mr Kioko will be replaced by Ms Sauda Said Rajabu, the first female CEO in the aviation industry in Tanzania which joining the local carrier from Kenya Airways (KQ), the leading airline in the East African region in terms of market share and its capacity which she has served in different capacities for the last 23-year.

This means that PW will be the first airline in the country to break a culture of dominance of man in the airline industry to serve as chief. Ms Rajabu set to join the airline as of March 1st, 2013.

Ms Rajab, has been KQ general manager for cargo.
