Uganda: Orange Uganda Starts Mobile Money Trade

Kampala — Orange Telecom has joined other telecom operators in Uganda like MTN, Warid, UTL and airtel to launch a mobile money platform Orange money.

The company said in Kampala that their platform which has been proven to be secure and reliable will also be used by people without mobile phones.

Mr. Philippe Luxcey, the Orange Uganda Chief Executive Officer said Orange money provides a maximum transaction of Ush2m ($800), and this has been serviced to both Non- Registered customers and registered customers.

The Launch was basically, to inspire Orange customers in registering for Orange money in order to keep on enjoying.
