Tanzania: Kikwete Appoints CFR Board Chairperson

PRESIDENT Jakaya Kikwete has appointed the former Tanzanian Ambassador to the US, Ms Mwanaidi Maajar, Board Chairperson of the Centre for Foreign Relations (CFR).

A statement released in Dar es Salaam, by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation, said that the appointment is effective from January 22.

It reads that following the appointment, the ministry's minister, Mr Bernard Membe, appointed eight body members.

It named the members as: Mr Dushhood Mndeme, Amb Abdi Mshangama, Dr Leonidas Mushokolwa, Dr Harold Utouh, Mr Saidi Mtanda, Ms Betty Machangu, Mr Affan Othman Maalim and Abdurahaman Abdallah. It noted further that the appointment lasts for three years and will expire on January 21, 2016.
