Nigeria: Obuh Makes U-Turn

Coach of Nigeria national U20 team John Obuh has returned to the team, and will be travelling with the squad to Cairo Egypt.

Obuh abandoned his players at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja to protest his non payment of salaries by the Nigeria Football Federation on Monday afternoon.

Futaa.com gathered that after much persuasion and promises from the NFF, Obuh decided to rescind his decision, and lead the team to Cairo.

The team will play two friendly games in Cairo, Egypt before heading to Tunisia for a three week training programme ahead of the Africa Youth Championship billed for Algeria next month.

Obuh led Nigeria to win the title in South Africa in 2011, and will be out to defend the trophy next month.

The gaffer named a 30 man provisional list for the competition, with four foreign based, and 26 home based in the squad.
