Nigeria: ACN Alerts Osun Police of Plans to Cause Chaos

Osogbo — ACTION Congress of Nigeria, ACN, in Osun State, has alerted the State Police Command over alleged plot by some opposition politicians to plunge the state into chaos and violence.

The party in a statement claimed the aim was to instigate the Federal Government to declare a state of emergency in the state.

The party's acting chairman, Elder Adelowo Adebiyi, spoke yesterday in an interaction with the party officials in Aiyedade Local Government during on-going tour of all the local government areas of the state by the State Working Committee of the party.

Adebiyi was reacting to widespread insinuations that some opposition politicians were planning protests across the state, using some misguided students, teachers, and Islamic scholars to create chaos and disturb the peace in the state.
