Angola: Ministry Regrets Death of State Television Journalist

Luanda — The Ministry of Social Communication Monday in Luanda expressed consternation for the death of the State-run Televisão Publica de Angola (TPA) jurnalist, Gaspar Joaquim, over the weekend in the Angolan capital of disease.

In a note of condolence that reached Angop on Monday in Luanda, the Ministry highlights the qualities of the professional who joined the TPA staff in 1988.

Signed by the Social Communication minister, José Luís de Matos, the note stresses the "long years of activity of Gaspar Joaquim".

"The premature demise saddens and impoverishes the journalists class, " reads the note.

"The Social Communication Ministry bows before the memory of the distinguished journalist and presents to the bereaved family and to the journalists class its most heartfelt condolences," the note reads on.
