Nigeria: Market Capitalization Losses N2 Billion

Trading activities on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) yesterday opened on a negative note as some major blue chips companies recorded losses in shares price.

The All-Share Index also depreciated by 6.95 basis points, representing a marginal drop of 0.02 per cent to close at 33,251.51 points.

This was against 33,258.45 recorded on Friday. Also, the market capitalisation which opened at N10.642 trillion depreciated by N2 billion to close at N10.640 trillion.

NewGold led the losers' chart with a loss of N15 to close at N2, 474 per unit.
