Zambia: Phiri Hopes for Buffaloes Glory Days

Former Chipolopolo coach Patrick Phiri hopes his new job at Green Buffalos will bring back the glory days.

Phiri said this will also be a good for him as this is an opportunity to contribute to the development of football in the country.

The former Nkana and Simba coach in Tanzania said the team he will now be coaching has a rich history as it has been winning trophies from way back in the 1970s.

"I hope my coming to Green Buffalos will bring back those glory days of winning the championships and the cups. It makes the supporters happy to fulfill their goals and objectives as a team," he said.

Phiri was recently appointed as Green Buffalos coach. He had been without a job after leaving NAPSA Stars last year.
