Egypt has obtained the membership of the Governing Council of the United Nations Environment Program as of February2013 till 2015.
Environment Minister Khaled Fahmy said that choosing Egypt reflects the respect of the international organization to the role of Egypt in protecting environment and commitment to international agreements on this score.
