Angola Lyric Singers to Hold International Gala in Luanda

Havana — Angolan lyric singers graduated at the Higher Institute of Art in Cuba announced in Havana their intention of holding their first International Lyric Gala in November this year in the country.

The intention was expressed to Angop on the sidelines of a lyrical concert held this Sunday at the National Theatre of Havana.

Bruno Neto, one of the members, said they had already designed the project, whose rehearsal began in April.

According to him, the initiative aims at adapting the first great classic of Angolan songbook and assemble them in a lyrical way.

Bruno Neto spoke of intention to invite graduate teachers from Cuba and other countries, in order to interpret Angolan classical music in national language, in lyrical perspective.
