Egypt: Al-Azhar Hopes for Bahrain Unity

Al-Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el-Tayyeb voiced hope that all Bahraini people would achieve unity, regardless of their political and ideological differences.

Every person is free to embrace any doctrine, but within the framework of loving the homeland and putting its interest above any other considerations, Tayyeb said during his meeting on Monday 18/2/2013 with a Bahraini Parliamentary delegation, under Deputy Speaker of Bahrain's Parliament Adel Abdul Rahman al-Moawda.

Meanwhile, Tayyeb highlighted how Egypt's Copts and Muslims place their nation's interests above any other considerations.
