Egypt: Nation Extends Voter Registration for Parliamentary Elections

The voter registration period for Egypt's upcoming parliamentary elections has been extended to Monday, March 4, or until the official call for election, whichever comes first, the elections committee said on Monday.

The purpose of the committee's decision for extension is to allow as many voters as possible to participate with their voices in electing the country's next house of representatives.

The committee had initially said that registration would take place from January 8 to February 18.
