Kenya: Put Your Money in Isiolo, Says Kuti

ISIOLO residents have been asked to take advantage of the government's plan to transform Isiolo into an international economic hub by exploring investment opportunities.

Livestock minister Mohamed Kuti yesterday said although the plan to make the county a major resort city are complete, the communities are not prepared to take up the opportunities that will come along with the new development.

He advised the locals to move with speed and grab the new opportunities by investing in hotel industry and other business ventures to position. The minister who was speaking in Kipsing in Isiolo, said the town will grow fast because of the anticipated new development.

He called on the residents to co-exist with other people who will come to invest in the county, if they have to realise their dreams of developing the county and improving their standards of living.

Kuti said the government is working out ways of expanding government facilities and improving infrastructure to give the people better service delivery. Isiolo is one of the three proposed resort cities in Kenya. The other two are in the Coast.
