Liberia: 'I Am Grateful'

Monrovia City Acting Mayor Mary T. Broh has expressed gratitude for the honor bestowed on her by the Management of The NEWS Newspaper.

She was certificated as Public Servant of the Year 2012. Presenting the certificate Monday, The NEWS Graphic Editor Victor Garnett said Mayor Broh was selected as the institution's Public Servant of the year based on her enormous efforts aimed at keeping the City of Monrovia clean and green.

Mr. Garnett said Mayor Broh's performances at the Monrovia City Corporation over the years have been exceptional and worth commendation and emulation.

Responding, Madam Broh said the honor bestowed on her by The NEWS Newspaper is a manifestation of hard work, commitment and dedication to her country.

He said the City Corporation of Monrovia is doing its utmost to ensure that Liberian cities are clean and green. She said that City Corporation of Freetown has inquired from the MCC how they (MCC) can help them transform their city.

Mayor Broh however said as part of the MCC strategic planning for the next five years, Liberians will witness the transformation of their respective cities by ensuring that these cities are clean, green, and healthy.
