Kenya: Open Hospital Says Nyong'o

19 February 2013

Health Minister Anyang Nyong'o on Saturday ordered the reopening of Chogonday Hospital. Speatking at the weekend at Fort-Ternan market in Kipkelion West, Nyong'o said the decision by Kericho Tea firm James Finlays is regretable.

He said by closing the in-patient wing of the hospital without consultation, the company has left residents, especially those working at the tea firms, vulnerable since nearby health centers are not equipped to handle complicated cases.
