Somalia: Changes For Media Under New Govt

Mugdisho — In a closed-door meeting, journalists and the government discussed how they will improve journalism standard that they have today especially the broadcast and websites journalism.

The Somalia organization of journalism NUSOJ said that the rules which are laid down today was formerly laid down with the former late president of Somalia Abdullahi Yussuf which was not comfortable to us journalist now we would like it to be revived with this new government of Somalia so that journalism could appreciate.

He also continued with his statement saying that we have chosen a person who will represent the journalism in Banadir region Mohamed Bashir Haashi and also said that our elected member is ready to work with everyone that will support the journalism.

The elected member of banadir said that he will represent his fellow journalism problem that they are facing especially banadir.

they also stated that journalism are injured people in the government of Somalia and the government will have to protect their right again.
