Uganda: Ruyange Promises Solid Display On Comeback Trail

Daniel Ruyange has promised not to throw away the opportunity of being in the national team by giving his best at the upcoming ICC Africa Region Division One Twenty 20 championship in Kampala.

The former tennis player, who has been sidelined for almost three years due to a shoulder injury, says that the recall to the national team shows how hard he has worked his way up, and will not let down the technical team that have given him the confidence.

"I will go in there knowing that I'm the best and I will give it all my heart," he says.

Meanwhile, assistant team captain Frank Nsubuga is only worried of Kenya, which he believes possesses the biggest challenge for Uganda.

"We have played Kenya on several occasions and I think they may give us a hard time though at the end of the day, we shall win," he says.

The tournament has attracted five teams including Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania and Botswana. The top two teams will qualify for the ICC Global qualifiers that will be held in UAE.
