Somalia: Somali Security Forces Set Sights On Gedo, Jubba

Somali security forces have vowed to liberate areas in the Gedo and Jubba regions still under al-Shabaab control as soon as they are able, Radio Dalsan reported Monday (February 18th).

Somali security official Mohammed Qalinle said the local population is in need of the government's presence. Meanwhile, Somali forces took over Jowhar airport in a raid Monday night, according to Somalia's Hiiraan Online.
