Angola to Train Over 4,000 Masters Till 2020

Lubango — The Ministry of Higher Education wants to train 4, 800 masters and 1,370 doctors in various specialities in 2013/2020 period, said Tuesday the national director of Advanced Training of Scientific Research of the Ministry, Massuquini Inês.

The official said this to Angop in Lubango, southern Huila province, while speaking on the actions that will be implemented this year by the Higher Education sector.

According to her, the number of masters' and doctors degree holders is integrated in National Plan of Staff Training.

Massuquini Inês said that 40 percent will comprise qualified masters in teaching field and 20 for doctors, with a view to reinforcing the number of personnel in higher education.

The official stressed that under the referred plan the sector intends to introduce mechanism that allow the upgrading of staff in the country, with support of foreigners allowances.
