Nigeria: Police to Encourage Students' Unionism

The new Commissioner of Police in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Femi Ogunbayode, has said the police will help to resuscitate students' unionism in schools as a way of checking crime.

Mr. Ogunbayode said this in his maiden speech as the Abuja police commissioner on Tuesday in the Nigerian capital.

Several officers within the Abuja Police Command were also decorated with their new ranks.
