Nigeria: NIPP - FG Condemns Contractor Handling Egbema, Omoku, Alaoji Plants

The Federal Government Tuesday frowned at Rockson Engineering Nigeria Limited, the contractor handling four of the 10 National Integrated Power Projects (NIPP) plants for performing far below expectation.

Minister of Information, Mr. Labaran Maku who led the National Good Governance Tour (NGGT) team to the 225megawatts capacity unit gas fired power plant in Gbariam, Bayelsa state, expressed dissatisfaction over the progress level at the four plants, accusing the company of lack of commitment.

Rockson is handling the Egema Power plant in Imo state, Alaoji power plant in Abia state, Omoku power plant in Rivers state and the Gbariam power plant in Bayelsa state.
