Nigeria: Kogi Government Assures to Sustain Peace and Security

The Kogi State Governor, Capt. Idris Wada, has vowed to sustain the current state of peace and security prevailing in the state.

He stated this when he received Mr. Hilary Opara (Mni), the Commissioner of Police, newly posted to the State.

The Governor, who lauded the role played by the Nigerian Police in the maintenance and sustenance of peace and security in the State, assured the police boss of adequate support of working tools that will enable men of the Command discharge their functions effectively.

Represented by his Deputy, Yomi Awoniyi, the State Governor urged the new Commissioner to bring his wealth of experience to bear in the policing of the State.
