Angola: King Defends Re-Organisation of Chieftainship

Saurimo — The King Mwatxissengue Watembo on Sunday defended the need for the Executive to assist the re-organisation project of the chieftainship in the country, mainly in the eastern region, Angop has learnt.

The concern was expressed during a visit paid by the governor of the eastern Lunda-Norte province, Ernesto Muangala, to the residence of the King, accompanied by the provincial governor of Lunda Sul, Candida Narciso.

According to him, the support of the government in the re-organisation of the chieftains will enable the distinction of their role with the administrations, providing them conditions and ability so that the unification tasks of villages may work out.
