Dutse — Coordinator of the Jigawa State Subsidy Re-investment Programme (SURE-P), Alhaji Yusuf Alhasan, said yesterday that they have screened 3000 youths who will benefit from the agency's program.
Speaking with newsmen, he said "We have screened the first batch of 3,000 youths who would be engaged and each would receive a N10,000 monthly allowance. They are between the ages of 18 to 35 years as contained in guide lines of the recruitment conditions. Fifty percent of them are males, 30 per cent, female and 20 per cent, vulnerable persons."
Yusuf said there is no link between SURE-P and 2015, adding that the program is one of President Jonathan's policies to address the menace of poverty and unemployment in the country. He thanked Governor Sule Lamido for the support and understanding his administration.
