Windhoek — The mysterious disappearance of the docket of suspected Mandrax dealer, Claudette Claasen, caused a temporary delay to the start of her case last week Friday.
For the second time in as many weeks the State had to request a remand to trace the missing docket. Magistrate Eduard Kesslau at the end of January granted the State a remand to Friday last week to trace the docket.
On Friday, Magistrate Hileni Kavara postponed the matter to March 01 for the final time to give the State the last opportunity to find the missing docket. Claasen was apprehended in August last year with 40 Mandrax tablets worth N$2 000.
She was granted bail in the amount of N$2 000 after her first court appearance on August 24 last year. Claasen is represented by Sarel Maritz, while Erich Naikaku is prosecuting.
