Rwanda: Mbarushimana Targets to Maintain Winning Run

The second division continues on Wednesday across the country with coach Abdul Mbarushimana taking his Group A leaders Sunrise FC to Huye to face the National University of Rwanda.

Sunrise lead the table standings with 29 points, three points ahead of second-placed Gicumbi FC and a whopping 16 points clear of seventh-placed National University of Rwanda after 12 rounds of matches.

"The target is to continue winning our matches for as long as possible and then see where we end up at the end of the season. We're going to Butare (Huye) hoping to maintain our winning streak and position at the top of the table," said the former Electogaz, Police, Nyanza and Rayon Sport coach.

Sunrise have won nine, drawn 2 and lost one game, while NUR have won four with one draw and seven losses.

In Group B, Bugesera, who leads with 29 points, host ninth-placed Pepiniere with 13 points, second-placed Esperance with 24 points play against Etoile d'Est on fourth position with 19 points.
