Tunisia: Consultations Between the Three Presidencies and Parliamentary Groups On Next Government-Ameur Larayedh

Bardo — President of Ennahdha movement politburo Ameur Larayedh said that consultations are underway between the three presidencies of the Troika as well as with the parliamentary groups to reach consensus on the future government.

The latter should be "a government of national alliance gathering all the parties which benefits from the people's trust," he specified, in a statement to the press, Monday, on the fringes of a plenary session of the National Constituent Assembly (NCA) on the draft constitution.

For his part, Wafa movement member in NCA Azad Badi underlined that the next government should be "politically based."

For her part, Kalthoum Badreddine, president of the general legislation commission in the NCA asserted that the new government, whatever its line-up, should be presented to the NCA to gain the trust of the elected members, adding that the proposal of the of caretaker Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali, to form a government of independent experts, could obtain consensus among the NCA members.
