Tunisia: 'Al-Amen' Party Announces Formation of Caucus in NCA

Tunis — President of Al-Amen party Lazhar Bahi announced the formation of a caucus at the National Constituent Assembly (NCA) named "Al-Amen, Al-Horria wal Karama."

"Most of the elected members who have joined this caucus made up of 11 NCA members are independent," Bali said at a press conference held Wednesday in Tunis.

He also expressed his party's support for the proposal of Interim Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali to form a government of technocrats which, he said, "will be able to ease tension in the country."

"This initiative does not question the legitimacy and should benefit of support from parties that won the October 23 elections," he also said.
