Tunisia: Ettakatol Is Not Against Formation of Government of Technocrats

Tunis — Official spokesman for the Ettakatol Party Mohamed Bennour said, Saturday, his party is not against the formation of a government of independent technocrats" as announced by Interim Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali," pointing however to "many constitutional, legal and political ambiguities."

"Ettakatol has decided to hold a special national congress next February 17 in Sfax to conduct consultations on the development of the political situation in Tunisia," added Mr. Bennour in a statement to TAP after a meeting of the party's Political Bureau chaired by its Secretary-General Mustapha Ben Jaafar.
