Tunis — Popular Front (FP) Spokesman Hamma Hammami delivered on Friday a funeral oration after the burial of late opposition leader Chokri Belaid, in which he paid tribute to the sense of humanity and activism of "his fellow activist and friend".

"Your blood would not have been a vain sacrifice... you are not dead..you will stay alive within us... we will not betray... we will not back down," Hammami said, adding that he will miss Chokri in every struggle and every debate.

He also paid tribute to late policeman Lotfi Ezzar who died from his injuries on Wednesday when he was on duties after acts of looting following Chokri Belaid's assassination.
