Tunisia: Al-Majd Party - the New Governmental Team Should Not Run for the Next Elections

Tunis — Al-Majd Party president Abdelwaheb El-Heni called Monday, on the new government Ministers and the Presidency of the Republic not to run for the next elections.

"It is imperative to ban the bid for the next elections for those who occupied ministerial, consultative and administrative functions, including on the local level and the institution of the Presidency of the Republic," Al-Hani said during a meeting with the press held Monday afternoon in Tunis.

"Expertise and sense of responsibility" should be the condition to be part of the next government" Al-Hani said.

He also called on the National Constituent Assembly to iron out the difficulties in front of the next government and resort to the constituent mission including in particular the drafting of the constitution.
