If all goes well, Foya City, which is situated in Foya District, Lofa County will get a new airport by April of this year. The airport, when constructed, will be the first in Foya City since its establishment. According to our reporter, who has just returned from Foya City, the construction of the new airport is fast progressing, as those carrying out the construction project are leaving no stone unturned in ensuring that they complete the project on time. Our reporter disclosed that the airport project, which began last Month (January), is being implemented by the Samaritan Purse.
"The airport is 4,200 feet long and 150 feet wide," Mr. James Dayugar, Construction Manager of the airport, disclosed in a brief chat with our reporter. "I think this is the biggest progress our district has made in recent times. We are very happy and proud of this development because it will be a help to everyone of us, including the ordinary man," Mr. Joseph Tamba Gbollie, District Commissioner of Foya District, who also spoke to our reporter briefly, stated.
