Kenya: Over 1,5000 Entries for Peace Race in Mau

MORE than 1,500 athletes will take part in the inaugural Mau Peace 21km race scheduled for Saturday at Tenet forest. The half marathon dubbed 'Adopt a tree campaign' is aimed at bringing people from different regions together and preach peace and unity.

Ann Kabui, an organiser from Panda Pata Initiative, said the half marathon will bring together schools, clubs and individuals. "The event will start at Njoro Post office at 7 am before covering Egerton, Kihingo and finishing at Teret. The objective of the race is to enlighten people on the importance of embracing peace and unity.
