Kenya: Western Branch Defends Mukolwe

FOOTBALL Kenya Federation (FKF) Western branch yesterday defended national technical committee chairman, Elly Mukolwe over the appointment of 60 elite referees. Busia sub-branch chairman, William Musumba had railed at Mukolwe for failing to pick a refs from the area and appointing only two from

Western branch. Defending Mukolwe, the branch chairman Andrew Amukowa said the 60 elite referees were picked on merit with no quarter system applied. " The branch has not raised any complaints regarding the appointment."

He said the two referees who were appointed to officiate in top flight football merited the slots after passing the physical endurance test.
