Rwanda: Three Arrested for Undermining Govt Policies

Three people - Joséphine Nyiraneza, Innocent Ndabamenye and his wife Eve Mukanyundo - from Gataraga Sector, Musanze District, are held by the Police over undermining Government policies.

The persons, who belong to a sect that defected from 7th Day Adventists, categorically refused to get IDs citing that electronic IDs contain the number 666 - considered by Christians to be the number of the beast.

They have also taken their children out of school fearing that they might be photographed for ID from school.
