Somalia: Bakara Market Grenade Attack Injures Six

A Somali security officer and five other people were injured in a grenade attack in Bakara Market on Tuesday (February 19th).

Hawl Wadag District Commissioner Mohamed Abukar Ali told Sabahi that a suspected al-Shabaab member was arrested and is under investigation in connection to the attack.

Bakara is one of the largest markets in Somalia, from which al-Shabaab used to launch their attacks on government buildings before Somali and African Union troops forced them out of the capital in August 2011.
