Luanda — The Angolan Government will do its best to reduce the loss of fish catches , through the construction of new conservation infrastructures and teaching people to better treat the product, Angop has learnt.
This was disclosed by the minister of Fisheries, Victória de Barros, that added that there have been many problems with conservation and improvement of processing technologies. She said that the action in this domain, will be construction of conservation infrastructures as well as teach some women to add values on the product to reduce the losses.
With regard to mackerel fishing, a species that is very enjoyed in Angola, the minister said there is a repopulation programme, identified in 2012, that will count on the collaboration of South Korea, being that the work is depending on financial resources.
